Core Tenets

Respect and Civility: Treat everyone with respect and kindness. No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.

1. Compassion and Empathy: Foster a supportive environment by showing understanding and compassion towards others.

2. Privacy: Respect the privacy of all community members. Do not share personal information without consent.

3. Supportive Engagement: Encourage and assist fellow community members on their respective journeys with empathy and a willingness to help.

4. Safe Environment: Ensure that interactions are conducted in a safe, private, and secure manner, keeping the community a welcoming place for everyone.

HeroBridge General Community Guidelines

Welcome to a HeroBridge Community App! We’re committed to creating a safe, respectful, and engaging community. By using our app, you agree to follow these guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

1. Respect Others

• Treat everyone with respect and kindness.

• Harassment, hate speech, and abusive behavior are strictly prohibited.

• Avoid posting content that targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.

2. No Harmful Content

• Do not post or share content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities.

• Content containing graphic violence, nudity, or sexually explicit material is not allowed.

3. Privacy and Security

• Respect the privacy of others by not sharing personal information without consent.

• Do not collect, share, or distribute sensitive information about other users.

4. Authentic Interactions

• Misrepresentation, impersonation, or fraudulent activity is not allowed.

• Only create accounts for yourself or with permission if representing an organization.

5. No Spam or Malicious Activities

• Avoid spamming others with repetitive or unwanted content.

• Sharing malware, phishing links, or scams is forbidden.

6. Follow the Law

• Use HeroBridge Community App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Any illegal activities conducted through the app will result in immediate account suspension and reporting to authorities.

7. Content Moderation

• All content is subject to review and moderation to ensure it aligns with our guidelines.

• Violations may result in warnings, content removal, or account suspension.

• We use suspension as a last resort because we believe in community building through constructive feedback and mentored support. We have the right to ‘shadow ban’ users who persist in violating content guidelines until we have a chance to discuss the root cause. This can occur without the user’s knowledge.

8. Reporting Violations

• Help us maintain a healthy community by reporting violations of these guidelines through the in-app reporting tools or contacting [support email].

HeroBridge Mentorship Guidelines

In addition to our general guidelines, the following rules apply to ensure HeroBridge remains a supportive space for mentorship and growth.

1. Foster Positive Mentorship Relationships

• Approach interactions with a spirit of guidance, support, and mutual respect.

• Constructive feedback should be encouraged, while criticism should remain kind and solution-oriented.

• Recognize and respect the boundaries of mentors and mentees.

2. Stay Goal-Oriented

• Use discussions and interactions to align with the shared goals of personal and professional growth.

• Avoid off-topic or disruptive content that detracts from productive discussions.

3. Celebrate Progress and Achievements

• Encourage and celebrate milestones, achievements, and progress within the community.

• Be supportive and uplifting in your responses to others’ shared successes and challenges.

4. Maintain Professional Conduct

• Ensure that your communication style remains professional, even in informal interactions.

• Avoid behaviors that could undermine trust or respect within mentorship relationships.

5. Share Resources Responsibly

• Provide relevant and helpful resources that align with the learning tracks and mentorship goals.

• Avoid overloading others with excessive information or sharing unauthorized or copyrighted materials.

6. Be Honest About Your Intentions

• Transparency is key in mentorship. Be upfront about your goals, needs, and capabilities in the mentor-mentee relationship.

• Do not mislead others or misrepresent your skills or experiences.

7. Protect Mentorship Integrity

• Mentors must not exploit their position for personal gain, favoritism, or other unethical purposes.

• Mentees should honor the time and effort of their mentors by actively engaging and following through on agreed actions.

8. Support a Learning Mindset

• Maintain an open mind and willingness to learn from others, regardless of their background or experience level.

• Avoid dismissive or condescending attitudes that might hinder productive collaboration.

9. Avoid Coercive or Manipulative Behaviors

• Do not pressure others into goals or activities that are not aligned with their values or aspirations.

• Respect individual autonomy and ensure all guidance is given in a collaborative, non-controlling manner.

10. Build a Collaborative Network

• Contribute to a culture of mutual support by connecting others with relevant opportunities, resources, or contacts.

• Value the diversity of expertise and experiences in the community.

  11. Penalties for Mentors

  • Mentors who fail to abide by these guidelines could be asked to seek retraining with their mentor organization, be shadow-banned for a period of time, suspended or as a last resort HeroBridge can request the host organization remove the mentor member.

  • HeroBridge does not take responsibility for the training or qualifications of mentors. This is completely the right and responsibility of the host organization. The host has the right to add or remove mentors with or without notice to HeroBridge. Hosts are required to monitor and oversee their own mentors both on and off the HeroBridge platform.
